Hello and welcome to the GolfTEC Blog,
To kick things off, let’s start by answering one question you may have already asked: Why does GolfTEC have a blog?
In short, we want to create opportunities to interact with people who love golf. The internet has been evolving at a rapid pace and there are countless new ways to interact and communicate. Social Media, Web 2.0, whatever you want to call it, it’s been all the buzz lately.
Well, here at GolfTEC, we’ve been slightly behind the Web 2.0 curve. But hey, we’re golfers after all, and you’re probably a little behind too. So we decided to start with the basics — a blog. Nothing revolutionary or cutting edge, we know. But it’s a start. In fact, we’re not trying to be cutting edge or revolutionary, we just want to interact with golfers a little better.
Think of it as making an equipment upgrade. In the realm of online interaction and communication, there are a lot of new tools out there. So we’ve decide to upgrade a bit. We’re adding a hybrid to our bag that will open up new opportunities. It’s not a complete equipment change, just a small addition to our setup. We think this blog will give us some new exciting ways to interact with golfers.
So that’s why we’re starting this blog. But what should you expect from this blog and why would you bother reading it on a consistent basis? Because after all, you as the reader are the only reason for this blog. We understand this.
Our goal is to deliver content that is of value to you. Seriously. If you like something you see or read, great, leave a comment and we’ll try to create more of what you like. If you don’t particularly like something, that’s fine, leave a comment (constructive please) and give us an idea for what could improve. The whole idea is that you as the reader are involved in this blog. Tell us what you like and tell us what you don’t like. We can’t promise to make everyone happy, but we will try to create and deliver great content that provides value to each reader.
It’s a simple blog, nothing flashy. The design and functionality will continually improve as we get more familiar with our new piece of equipment. But we always want to keep it simple. Our readers are primarily golfers, not tech gurus.
So that’s it, GolfTEC has a blog (and yes, a twitter account, as you probably noticed, which we just started and encourage you to follow). Stop by every few days to see what’s new, leave a comment or two, even subscribe to our RSS feed if you like. And remember, GolfTEC may be running this blog but it’s your blog too. So talk to us, give us ideas, suggestions and comments. We’ll listen.
